STP Fuel System cleaner
I just read some of the threads that said that STP fuel system cleaners would cause the dreaded sludge problem. Is this true? It hought the cleaner helped clean all the parts. THanks.

Re: Re: STP Fuel System cleaner
Hi,
I have been hearing alot of bad things about this oil sludge, I just bought a used 98 Durango with like 92K miles on it, and this is starting to trouble me, is there anyway to eliminate any kind of sludge already built in the engine by previous owners? I cant undo what they did but wouldnt want to have to pay for their careless maintenance. Thanks in advance for the help. Damian Quote:

Re: Re: Re: STP Fuel System cleaner
To remove sludge you just need to buy some engine flush. You can find it at any auto parts place. You drain the oil, add the flush which is solvent based, run the engine, the drain the dirty flushing solvent and refill with oil.
