Not getting a spark need help!

Hey people,

I need some help with my 90 civic hb w/B16a swap.
The other day I was cruising around town and all of a sudden the car bogged down and I couldn't start the car back up. I thought it may have been the ignition coil so I replaced it and it still doesn't start up. We checked for spark and we are not getting anything.
Can someone please help!!!

it could be that your timing is off, friend. i've had a similar problem on my sohc vtec and at first thought that it was my ignition coil. i went out and bought a new one, only to find out that it wasn't the problem. i later checked my cam gear and found that the key had chipped off and was no longer in alignment wifh the camshaft. check your timing, just in case.

but if it's not the timing, then it's your whole distributor.

Re: Not getting a spark need help!

Go perform the above advice, and if no luck check the ignitor and ignition wires. Also if your alternator went bad, you could have used up the battery, so check battery charge.
