Remove tail lights
I have a 2004 Honda Civic and am trying to install new tail lights. I've unscrewed all the screws and the one underneath but I can't get the original tail lights out. What am I missing?

I'm guessing most Civics are the same with the lights. With mine there are a couple of black plastic clips holding it in. You basically just have to push and it will pop out.

Civic 2001 tail light
How do I get to the screw that holds the larger (outside) tail light in place. Is that from underneath of the bumper. Do I need a special srewdriver for that?

I have a 04 Civic LX and I'm trying to remove my stock tails too. Can't seem to figure out how, anyone have step by step instructions?

I removed my stock tails a while ago. The hardest part is pulling the lights out after you got everything unscrewed and detached, but it's really easy installing the aftermarket lights. Dont forget to detach the electrical wires (You just unclip it and it detaches). Pretty simple. Good luck!

I am having the same problem with my civic 04 4dr.
there looks like there are clear plastic clips on the very bottom corner they look like they aren't attatched to the light but they are not sure how to get them off tried pulling and pushing...neither worked |
