Re: tranny swap???

you dont have to... but ehy would you keep an auto tranny on a KLZE? sounds kinda ghey.. Your best bet would be to buy an MX6 tranny.

Re: tranny swap???

I think if you buy the engine from Osaka motors, it comes with a tranny...might want to look into that!

osaka sells them with the engines but you don't need to get one from them...you can get it elsewhere for cheaper

Re: tranny swap???

where? just look in a junkyard or something? I don't trust junk yards, pick-a-part places, or places that piece out cars. My sister bought a tranny from a place that pieces out Volkswagens, and put it on her jetta. Everything matched perfectly, but they screwed up the transmission when they took it out, and tried to cover it up, and didn't tell us! So, I prefer to buy from actual dealers.

Re: tranny swap???

The tranny does matter. You need an AWD tranny and an AWD driveshaft. The AWD tranny would need driveshafts coming out of both ends, because one needs to go to the front wheels while the other needs to go to the rear. Whereas the FWD tranny only has one driveshaft going to the front, or a RWD only has one going to the back.
