Does anyone know about "steel seal" that is a product that is supposed to repair blown head gaskets and cracked heads. I have a small leak in the head gasket and it messes up the compression in my coolant system. All my hoses keep on cracking one by one. ( and no JekylandHyde, I m sure it is not as simple as old hoses from the way it looks LOL this morning I opened the radiator cap and even when my car was cold, I could feel the pressure coming out and the coolant was coming out as well.) Id rather try this before replacing my HG that is going to be expensive. So the question is: had anyone heard about it or tried it?? DId it work?? Is there other brands on the market that are supposed to be good??
Thanks |

Re: steel seal??
Never heard of the product.
If the radiator cap was off, ther eowuld be no pressure in the system ... so you could not have felt it?! I'm not sure what you were expereincing.

When I said I felt the pressure it means that I heard it and I felt it as I was opening the radiator cap while my car was totally cold... HOw do you explain the coolant that came out?? I thought it would come out only when the car was hot??? |
