Hey you guys, i was driving on my way home from school on the freeway, i was going 60 mph when i see thsi hyundai elantra exiting of the off ramp. So i kept going keeping an eye on the car and instead of staying on its lane and waiting to switch on the dashed lines, it crosses without slowing down, no signal light, on the white line. So i immediately hit the brakes and shift down, but the idiot driver decided that now that she is in her lane shell slow down, so i hit her (or she hit me) on her bumpre. The first thing i thought was "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! MY beautiful 240!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT HAPPENED TO MY BUMPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So i look at the driver, it was an old lady from the hospital, nurse/receptionist i guess, and she was so scared she didnt know what to do. So I waited for her to pull to the side, but she kept going, I am really pissed off at this point and start honking and pulling to her side and telling her to pull over. I was so angry. The first thing i said to the lady, was if she was ok, then i started yelling at her! And she is all like "What happened?" , Im all like "WHAT HAPPENED? YOU CAME INTO MY LANE AND MADE ME CRASH YOU MORON!!!!!!!! LOOK AT MY CAR!!!!!!!" And she was all like "Oh Im sorry, but nothing happend look", i said "NOTHING HAPPENED LOOK AT MY FRONT BUMPER AND HOOD!!!" Then she claimed that it was my fault, i told her "LOOK AT THE CARS EXITING THE OFF RAMP, THATS HOW UR SUPPOSED TO DRIVE!!!!!!NOTHING COMPARED TO U!!!!!" The good thing is that when i looked at my car it wasnt really dameaged, a scratch on the bumper but the hood was bent. So i say to the lady that she is either gonna give me her insurance, or pay for the damage.

I took control of the situation and told her that it was better to pay me instead of calling the insurance and raising the rates, so she said yeah but she couldnt pay me, I was even more pissed off, and then she starts claiming that her bumper is also messed up from the inside, By this time i was ready to push her to the freeway. But i calmed down and told her i accepted checks or any majjor credit cards, but she didnt want to, so i didnt think it was worth it to call the insurance and keep on arguing because i already crashed once and it sucked, my insurance rose too. Besides the odds were against me an old lady with a hyundai hit in the rear vs. a 18 year old kid driving a 240, i wouldnt stand a chance and then my parents would get mad at me and ground me for no apparent reason. So i decided to just get another hood from the junkyard or carbon fiber. So i let the lady go but told her to drive more carefully next time and walked with all my anger in my body. I entered the freeway burning out, but then i calmed down bcuz i didnt want ot crash again. But now i'll be more conscious of old drivers.

I was hit when I had my trans am by a guy who was born in 1930, he T-boned me, the cops didn't even have to ask who was at fult, but I was driving on a suspended DL, they arrested me then released me due to injuries, and the old fool walks away with a failure to yield ticket. Anyone over 60 should not be driving. This was 2yrs ago. An I have had more encounters too, I HATE OLD PPL AS LONG AS THEY ARE BEHIND THE WHEEL, !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol god damn that sucks man. and yes you would have gotten the ticket for "following to closely" and also she could have just lied and said she was already on the high way when you hit her. So very very very smart move by you. If it was a younger person especially in there 30's or 40's you would be getting the ticket and your insurance would get higher.

That SUCKS though, I would have still reported it to the insurance, help get poor drivers off the road! Do us ALL a favor!

Oh by the way I really don't think it's fair to say all old people can't drive, A LOT of them can't but many are just fine behind the wheel. (I would know, I work at a senior center in the morning.) ^^

Ok its arguable that is was maybe his fault. He wasn't speeding, and she crossed into his lane without looking or signaling, THEN slowed down without paying attention. The only reason I can think of it being his fault was that he should have slowed down a lot more when he saw her coming in front of him...BUT since he wasn't initially speeding, and he wasn't in the right-hand slow lane, he shouldn't have to. Common sense tells you to slow down, but the dumb lady broke more common sense rules then he did so he still wins that one.

I would have been such an asshole to that lady she would have been scared to ever drive again. People who are too old to drive, should not be driving, including my grandmother and yours.

Please explain why you think its "his" fault and how he "conned" that lady.

explain? simple. he hit her. she couldnt have hit him unless she was driving in reverse. no matter how he can explain it, if there was a police report, he would be at fault.

if he told this story and he switched positions with the old lady, he's still claim it was her fault cause its human nature to try and move guilt on other people.

Ok I agree that he hit her. That's a fact. But the way your wording it you make it sound like if she were to pull out into speeding traffic and completly stop her car, it would still be the fault of the person who hit her. If you wanna say it's his "fault" for hitting the person, then it was "caused" by her idiocy and lack of reflexes. In any case, the police would tell this kid to go fuck himself, but the truth of the matter is that this whole situation was caused by an elderly person who should not be on the road.

i guesss that the reason why she slowed down is that she was probably scared because she saw smoke comin out of my tires from braking. Let me rephrase my comment. TO ME, it seemed as she slowed down, and according to the way she came into my lane is a good thing that she did or else she would hit the freeway divider cuz she was going fast. And besides, i did ask her if she was ok. But really, old people think that they could do anything they watn cause their senior citizens, that's why when u see a ferrari or any other nice car, its always the senior citizens driving em, i think thats bs. I couldnt e-brake and do a cool dodging drift cause i was in the fast-lane or the farthest to the left lane and she was coming from the right almost hiting the off ramp wall thing, so TO ME there wasnt anything i could do, and besides i got witnesses, as soon as i told em i was cool they left. BTW my grandparents are dead, never met em, so it dosnt really affect me since i never knew em.
