Bucking Under Power
New guy here.
I have a 1996 C-1500 with a 4.3L v-6 and 5 spd manual trans. Recently purchased it and starting to notice the truck bucking when under a load while shifting. It feels like the engine is missing but at idle or steady speed, it runs smooth. Any help would be appreciated. |

Re: Bucking Under Power
Check your plugs and wires. Make sure you don't have a wire off, or cracked. Check the distributor cap for any carbon and/or cracks. If you see any, then get ya a new one and that should solve yoru problem.

Thanks for the help. Changed the plugs, wires, cap & rotor. Seems to have taken care of the problem....

Re: Bucking Under Power
Glad to have helped. I'd say the distributor cap and rotor button was the problem, but changing the plugs and wires never hurt anything!
