Thumbs up Modified 3000gt vs.Stock 2000 porsche boxter

Well classes are ending as you all know and a friend of mine, who is a rich little terd, got himself a nice paid for 2000 boxter with 35k on it. so naturally cuz he drives a porsche he thinks hes the fastest thing around. well i just had to put the little terd in his place, bu t before anyone calls bs the specs on a boxter are as follows 0-60 in 6.2 1/4 mile in 14.86.

well he agrees to race me, so later that night we head out to a well known road which is quite suited for racing, there are lots of people waiting there for us. we line up on of our friends flashes the lights on his truck to start us and were off he beats me of the line by about 3/4 of a car length and i catch him at the top of first we shift i pull a little half way through second and he pulls even through third, at this point we are still even and were apropaching 110 the finish line waits about 100 yards away and were still even i start crawling away from him halfway through 4th whoosh we cross the finish lin and its all over we pull over he congratulates me, something i did not expect, and he hands me the 25 bucks we bet on the race, that was by far the closest race ive ever been in, please feel free to comment and ask questions but please dont flame just cuz it was a 3000 vs a porsche.

I'm not surprised, I would call BS if you were driving a base model. The Boxter isn't a very fast car, for being a Porsche.

Nice kill!

Those 2K Boxters were all show and no go. Well done

If I remember right you said your mods included intake, lightweight flywheel and clutch replacment?... Not a whole lot but I guess it was just enough. You knowing your car and him not having his long, I would think you had the advantage. Give the guy more time with the car and the result might not be the same though.

Well done. Any time you can beat a porsche, it is something to talk about.

I Agree.
I'd like to see 2 sports cars, bone stock such as 2 boxter porches and with experienced drivers and see what would happen in a 5 mile race... that'd be a sight to see for my taste.

Nice kill!

Boxters are ritzy but they haven't much go. I'm a fan of the old '56 356 Speedster myself. Great looking, great handling, decent performance for 50 years old and the 1500/1600cc motor!
