Ok, Crazyman, here's the deal:
Installing AC into a car that never had it requires lots of time, money, and hassle. More than your car is worth, actually.
You'd be better off just selling your STD and buying a Honda with AC.
When I got rid of my 89 STD, I bought a 1990 LX, just to have all of the goodies, including power windows, power steering, and glorious working air conditioning..
Sorry to bring you bad news.
Flunky

it can't be that hard, the car probably has all the required mounting points (since it was a dealer installed accesory). Also, if he gets all the parts from the wreckers it shouldn't be too expensive.....

It will be a pain in the ass. Ive never put a whole kit on a 4th gen or rex but it cant be too much fun. You gotta get all the lines, the compressor, condensor, evaporator, o-t, reciever/dryer... just too much of a hastle in my opinion.

Re: AC sawp...

I cant tell you how hard it would be to install, but if your intested I'll sell you the entire system out of a 88 hatch. I'll need to keep the evaporator box though unless you want to send me your non-AC one. If your intested PM me and I'll give you a price.
