Cav is problem!!!

It seems that when one problems starts it is usually not over until you have traded in the car. I have noticed in the last couple of days that my car seems to be trying to die or loose power. Well it finally happened on the way to work this morning, it died. As I stood there not really knowing what it was, and having already checked the batterie and altinator, I discovered the nut that tightned the altinator cable was loose, so I tightned it up jumped the car and all was fine until it died again. I have had the batterie checked along with the altinator and all is ok. I called the dealership and they said that the computer sounds like it is shorting out,and that they are the only ones who can fix the problem, (Its only about $600.00 worth of fixing) Does anyone know what else I can check before I take it to the dealership and pay $85.00 to have it checked and fixed. Thanks

if the battery and alternator are working fine it's either a bad connection, loose or broken wire, or the circuit like they said
