Question intake/exhaust/headers???

If i get an intake, exhaust, and headers, will it void my warranty or will my warranty still be in affect?

Re: intake/exhaust/headers???

Depends on if the problem with your car was directly due to the new exhaust system. If so, they won't cover the problem under warranty.

Re: intake/exhaust/headers???

Depends, if the exhaust caused the problem (doubt it could cause anything) then they can scrap the warranty. With an SRI, V2 or CAB intake, you're safe. With a CAI you're screwed if it hydrolocks. Headers, it depends.

Re: intake/exhaust/headers???

Hydrolock is when water gets into the filter and goes into your engine via the air intake. This only happens if you submerge your CAI filter completeley in water. Apparently the CAI has a drainage hole that lets out water before it gets into the engine when raining and such.

Re: intake/exhaust/headers???

What he said,

and it'll only void it once it causes a problem If you want to play it safe, just pay a little more and get a V2 or Comptech Icebox. The V2 gets the closest gains to the CAI, but its still a short ram design so that it can't hydrolock, although the chance of hydrolock is very slim, it has happened.
