After market brake pad recomendation needed

I have a 2002 v6 accord and i need new brake pads in front. Can/should i consider ceramic pads. my last set of OE brakes lasted 17,000 miles and i am not an aggressive driver. Looking for very high quality pads for street use. Suggestions / info appreciated thanks ron

EBC green stuff. That's about as high up as you can go without risking serious "streetability".

Ceramic pads are an excellent choice for your vehical. Ceramic pads offer noise reduction, less brake dust and less mooshy pedal feel. Carbin Metalic pads are problably to aggressive. It sounds like Organic and Semi metalic pads wont last long enough for your liking as well. Make sure and turn or repalace the rotor for maximum pad life and dont forget the disk brake quiet for the back or the pads and brake cleaner (nothing bites more than skweeky brakes). If you do alot of stop and go driving 17,000 miles is not bad for pad life. Oh and lubericate the caliper slides to ensure the caliper is not sticking.
