door locks

the lock will fall inside the door panel when I put in my key. I never had this problem until I had a security alarm installed, i don't have power locks, so i have to unlock the door through the passenger side, theres been a few people that I have spoken to, and they have had the same problem. What, if any are some solutions to fix this problem?

THere is probably something like a C-clip made from spring steel that should be holding it in from inside. Take door panel off and examine. Look for clip in bottom of door.

Hey Mike have you solved your door lock problem, I have the same problem, however i can't seem to located where a C clip would go since there doesnt seem to be much room after the cylinder in inside the keyhole. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: door locks

Yes, I Used Super GLUE, Before you push the lock all the way foward, go around the cylinder. Becareful around the acutal key-hole. I Did this because, I also haven't found a C-Clip (I Was told the part doesn't exist, I have to replace the entire assembly. Hope this helps

U might not have the C clip. I was thinking of pre 94' models. After the body change they might have changed the hardware.

Mike if you havent solved the door lock assembly yet, hears a good solution, today I got a R6 size rubber O ring and stretched it over the lock assembly, it seated itself just past the chrome cap on the cylinder, push the cylinder through the opening in the door handle and push it in the rest of the way. Works great. let me know how you make out. I took the door handle off the door and worked it in the opening in the handle

I got my O ring at a local service station or you can get one at peps boys or any auto store the size I used was R6 but you have to stretch it over the cylinder. Let me know how you make out.
