Console...

I have a 96' and have been sort of annoyed by my console. It has several spots where the rubber coating is missing, etc.
Is there anyway that I can reapply that rubber coating,or am I just going to have to go to the junkyard again.

Re: Console...

Go to a junkyard or look on ebay, you see them all the time for around 20 bucks.

Re: Console...

A bunch of us have come to the conclusion that the rubber coating is to protect it from scratches, and things of that nature. It works, but mine is pretty torn up.Thanks for the help.Im just gonna go to my local junkyard tommorow.

Re: Console...

I need a new center console myself, I had my head unit hanging halfway out while I re-did some wiring and it scratched the rubber all up. I don't get it, what's the point of putting a protective rubber coating on, when it gets scratched it looks like crap and needs to be replaced anyway.
