Go here, www.horsepowerfreaks.com
or here, www.JGYcustoms.com

Upgrade your clutch and get a lightweight flywheel so the biggest acceleration gain first, then work on the airflow with an intake, header, exhaust set-up. After that, I'd suggest cams.

Already has a FSTB, the biggest improvement you'll notice is with new tires, trust me. After that, lowering the car would make a very large improvement. You have two ways of going about this:
1 - springs/dampers, this will come in stages, you can do the springs first, then do the dampers a year later when the stockers are shot. It will be ~$150 for the springs, and then $550 for the dampers (keep in mind, the only aftermarket dampers available for this car are the koni yellows, they're good but the fronts are inserts, which means you have to hack apart the stock strut to install them). Total cost is $700, fixed ride height, decently stiff springs, and adjustable dampers
2 - coilovers, high up front cost, but you get adjustable ride height, adjustable dampers, and a much stiffer spring/strut combo. Install is easier than aftermarket dampers since you don't need to hack apart anything, the only downside is the high initial cost. It will be anywhere from $750 to $1800 depending on which set you go with.

Re: 01 sentra se

do they make things like sub frame connectors and lightwieght control arms, a arms, trailing arms whatever this car has. my friend wants to make this car handle perfectly first then go for power. is thier a web sight that just does suspension for the sentra

Possibly, but really those wouldn't give you NEARLY the improvement that new tires and coilovers will. After that a rear sway bar would be a good improvement, and past that you really go into diminishing returns, no matter how much more money you spend on the suspension you really won't get a very noticable improvement. I would do tires, coilovers, rear sway, and then go for power.

There aren't any suspension-only sites that I know of....for coilovers just run a search on google for the tein basics or tein ss (JIC also makes some, but they're VERY hard to find online). www.ptuning.com has the progress rear sway I think, that would be a nice choice. Another good sway bar is the Nismo, and I've heard the Stillen one is pretty good as well (but that's the only thing you should buy from Stillen, the rest of their parts are pretty low quality and priced very high).

Re: 01 sentra se

hey thanks again for all your info ill pass it along to my friend.

o one more thing, with adjustable coilovers how bad can you mess up the cars handling if you don't know what you are doing

Re: 01 sentra se

Not real sure what you mean, with coilovers the handling can't be worse than stock, even if you put everything to the extreme (up or down, stiff or soft) it will always have better handling than stock. You can mess up the alignment when you install it, but you should always get an alignment done after installing new suspension parts so that really isn't an issue once you get that done.

I would work on the power first. If you(or your buddy) is going for "perfect" handling, then you should work on power first. If you complete the suspension upgrades and tuning first, then when you add power, the extra torque will upset your "perfect" suspension and you'll have to re-tune your suspension for the extra power. Just my

Re: 01 sentra se

you have a point with the retune but thats only a big concern if you tune it for drag racing. it will be tuned for autocross/street so its not a big deal if we put down 20 or so more peak hp
