Alpine Type R vs. Alpine Type X (Components)

hey guys, im planning on getting component speakers, to replace my current speakers, i've heard the type S components, and they sounded good, other than they lack bass, and i've heard the type R components, they have good midbass, and decent highs, but i've never seen or heard the type X components before (im talkin about the 6.5 2 way)

i can get the Type R components for about $140
and
i can get the Type X components for about $190

has anyone heard the type X components before? im wondering if it is worth paying the extra $50 (or more) for them, also anyone know how much wattage the type R/X can take?

i know they can take more than 50rms, because all the alpine speakers state 50rms, or dont' state a rms at all, so which is better overall, like volume / price / quality thx

type x wins out over type r, newer model. Alpine has yet to regress in building.
