2000 jgc limited --turns over but wont fire-- wait 1 hour then fires!!

Hey fellas i need help I have 2000 jeep grand cherokke
it will shut off whilke driving or sometimes just wont fire. When this happens, it turns ,and cranks, but wont fire up
I have heard from anything about the battery or the crank sensor or the fuel pump or fuel filter so Has anybody had this problem . No check engine light or nothing. The jeep has 78000 miles
oh yea its for sale tooo
so i need to get his fixed at least. Please help Im going to try the fuel filter first. The wife says when its about ready to die she notices the rpm raise up then it shuts off. If let sit for a while it will start CRAZY MIND BOGGLING
