Active check control

I am having a problem with the active check control panel on my 83 633csi. The O2 light is on and the oil level light is on as well. I checked the oil level and it was ok. I replaced the sending unit in the oil pan as well and the light still stays on. Does anyone know how to turn off these lights since they are annoying especially during night driving.

Thanks for any help.

Hmm,

You can remove the bulbs.

I have never seen an o2 indicator on the active check control.

Here is an diagram from a 1985 csi for a visual reference.

Later,

Hey Ron,

Thanks for your reply. I would like to fix it nonetheless. I found a schematic for the 83 633csi which shows that the O2 light is connected to a .1amp fuse that blows at 30,000 miles, do you know where the fuse is located and where I can purchase one. Also, the light for the oil level is an LED which I can't see how to remove it. I will attach the schematic for you to look at and if you could help me out once again.

Thanks,
Gabe

Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to attach the diagram, but it is on page 118 of the BMW ETM cd. If you want I could email it to directly if possible.

Re: Active check control

that fuse is in back of the instrument cluster, believe or not we'd remove the bulb from the check control panel after the inspection II service at the dealer since the cars were out of warrantee by then anyway.
