535i electrical problem
I am having some electrical problems. My driver's side tailight and parking/turn lights are not working. I disconnected the battery and let it stay unconnected for over an hour and when I reconnected the battery the lights worked for a little while and stopped working again.
Is there something wrong with my LKM Module or is it my fusible link. Please help. |

Rayray, the first thing to do is play with the bulbs. My car's a 1985 535i, and it has these funky bulbs that don't have any wires going to them...they just twist into a mounting spot, and the juice flows to the mount. After a while, these mounting contact points get a little grunge on them, and then the bulbs don't fire.
BMWs seem to have electrical storms when one thing goes out, and some other things quit working as a show of sympathy. Pull back the molded plastic cover in your trunk, and twist those bulbs out, then twist 'em back in. Then tell me what happens! Flunky |
