02 Malibu console removal?
Hi everybody,
Does anybody know how to remove the center floor console (the one the shifter goes thru) from my 2002 Malibu? Would appreciate a step by step how to? Thanks in advance for any help. Gene

Thanks for the instructions! Now, is there an instruction on how to get the rear cupholder out of the console? The diagram shows screws under the front cupholder and under the flip-up armrest, but mine has none, but the holes in the console are there and the console is nice and tight? I can't figure out how to get that cupholder out as it is spring loaded from the top. Any suggestions? Thanks again - Gene

ezhelper,
Disregard the last post, I figured it out. It has a spring "bar" that has to be depressed with a screwdriver from the top and then comes out-Also, they must not use some of the screws in the 02 as there are two bolts under the rear cupholder. Thanks again. Gene
