Check Engine Oil Light

Can anyone please help me and tell me how to reset ym "Check Engine Oil" light on my '01 Yukon XL. I lost my freakin manual and forgot how to do it. Thanks.

turn ignition to RUN position with engine off.

fully press and release the gas pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.

if the CHANGE ENGINE OIL message flashes for 5 seconds the system is reset

I have an 02 Yukon- (just got it)
I changed th eoil myself less than 2000 miles ago and recieved the same indicator lamp- I tried doing the above steps and can't seem to reset the indicator- please advise- am I missing a step?
When i set the ignition in the run position the first lamp i get is the battery lamp- then about 10 seconds later the change oil lamp comes on-
Any help is appreciated
