I have a 2000 Maxima and just had my brakes replaced. Mine too make a noise when going slowly and braking. The installer says this is normal and will go away soon. It's not getting any better.

there is some kind of lube you can get for the pads that will make that go away.

Check out Matt Blehm's BBK. So far it's getting good responses from the org.

Or if you prefer a name brand, spend an extra $1000 or so on Stillen's BBK

Big brakes will be noisy, too - if you don't "bed" them properly - there are links on the org to explain the "how & why" of this process.

Rofren Disc Brake Pads are by far the best for your car!!! They are hard to find but worth the effort. The dealer is bullshitting you!!! Nissan is having major problems with their OEM brake linings and all that i have found that works is Rofren. The only place i know to get them is www.brakepads.com

The only pads I have found that work without noise or dust are Rofren Disc Brake Pads. Try them!!! Then go tell your dealer to screw. I found these pads 5 years ago and they are simply the best you can get!! No noise!!! They are hard to find, the only place i know is brakepads.com
