Type R grill

Anyone know what Type R grill will fit my car? I ordered an APC Type R grill off of Ebay for my 99 Ex Coupe and it doesnt fit. It's too small by about an inch on either side and a half inch too short on the bottom. I checked the part# on the APC site and it says its for the 99-00 Civic. Do I need to get the 96-98 version? Also this is information any Civic owner could use, watch out when they say fits all 99-00 Civics, cause obviously they don't fit. I would figure that APC being a big company would specify if it was just for the Si.

Re: Type R grill

APC is a shit company though =/ I'd call them and ask about it, they may be able to do an exchange or something.

I will try and call them and see what happens, or maybe just find out which one actually fits and buy it from somewhere and than switch the boxes and send the other back. Thanks for your help.

Yeah, call up APC and ask.

I have an '00 coupe, and what I'm going to do is just get the authentic OEM grill piece from Honda for an Si coupe. Eventhough it's expensive at $60 plus shipping ( www.handaautomotiveparts.com ) at least I know it'll fit perfectly and look like it came from the factory that way.

I hear what your saying about the OEM Si grill. I took my stock grill and cut the center structure out and added some gutter gaurd, and for pretty much my first DIY it came out alright, as long as your not inspecting it up close, but I like the look of the type R grill, so I'll see what happens when I call them. I guess I'll have to see whats more important, saving another $40 bucks by returning the one I have or buying another or sitting on hold for 45 minutes with APC.
