Talking Can a stock 1998 V6 Accord take a stock 1998 Maxima GLE(auto)???!!

yes, if you do it from roll start. off line maxima will get you, it has whole lot more low end torque then accord.

BTW, I’m not in any way encouraging street racing. Racing should take place only at race tracks.

assuming conditions are same for both cars, maxima will take accord off line and will win race.

Actually, it could b a drivers race if the Maxima is an automatic. The maxima has 190hp and 205 ft. lbs' of torque

While the Accord V6 has 200hp and 195ft. lbs. of torque

Also, the Accord is 200lbs. lighter

Actually Honda_99 is right. The maxima weighs 3085 lbs while the Accord weighs 3241 lbs. And the peak hosepower rating is worthless, its the torque curve is what really matters, and to my uderstanding the maxima torque curve is almost flat all the way to the redline.

Re: Can a stock 1998 V6 Accord take a stock 1998 Maxima GLE(auto)???!!

actually torque curve for maxima drops like rock after 5500RPM, but Accord's at peak. that's why i said, from roll accord will take maxima, but from stop maxima will get enough ground so accord will not be able to make up by end of 1/4ml.

Oops...the Accord is heavier. But from a roll the Accord should take it. As previously stated though, from a dig, the Accord would get owned
