New Here, need help with 3.8 95' Camaro

Okay so here's the story-
First off it's my GF's car. A 1995 with the 3.8V6 and T-Tops. No modifications.
The biggest problem with this car (definately not the "only" problem) is it feels like the whole F'in thing is shaking whenever I drive it. I don't really know how else to explain it. Give it gas and the whole car basically shakes. My mech. tends to think that it could be injectors, cracked block, or some sort of fuel problem. I am under the impression it has something to do with the drivetrain. I know it is not a misfire because I just had a tune-up.
I was driving down to buy some (let's say cookies) from my cousin another town up. I had just been on the highway and everything was fine. I take her down the back roads to get to my cuz's house and I make a turn adn all of a sudden the car starts shaking (feels like from the rear) and I have about 70% of the power I just had a second ago.
Also another problem maybe you guys can help;
brakes, abs light, locks up. That's the problem. I am thinking electronics, perhaps a ABS relay or one of those electrical components.
Any help would be much appreciated.
P.S. great forums you guys have here.
P.S.S My stang would smoke you guy's Camaros. j/k :P

they musta been some pretty good cookies if the whole car was shaking after you had some

just kiddin it sounds like a fuel problem from what you describe but i'm not sure coz you say it feels like the shaking is coming from the back of the car which is odd.

Thanks for the quick reply Z.
I am thinking the same as you. Now that I think about it, it may not be coming from the back, that is probably the engine shaking down the drivetrain.
I will look into the fuel. I am wanting to mod it a bit so maybe get some fuel parts that are a little "higher" performance.

shaking? fuel problem? maybe if youre talking about the engine sputtering, but if the car is shaking ill put my money on a driveshaft with too much runout. its probably out of balance which means you would have to get another, dont know why it would be but jack that sucker up and look under it to see if the driveshaft has been rubbing anywhere. i had a horrible vibration in one of my older cars, the driveshaft had runout and it was only rubbing against a 2cm spread on one little bitty party of the underbody but seeing as how it spins so fast itll make vibration pretty bad. other than that look into the front end and the rear. maybe you have a really deflated tire?

How where the cookies?

How does it idle?? Does it only vibrate when your driving? And does the vibration stop As Soon as you pull your foot off the gas?

The car idles fine. The only time I get vibration is when I use the long skinny pedal on the right (read gas pedal). So yes it does stop shaking when I'm not on the gas.
and BTW those cookies were really good.

lol

well if its only shaking when you're on the gas i'd have to say its a fuel problem. somewhere in your system the fuel is not getting through properly. get it checked out, it could just be something small.

Re: New Here, need help with 3.8 95' Camaro

Hey guys,
after a all nighter I got it running properly. It is a pain to get to those injectors.
Finally got to them (they were naaassstty) and cleaned em up some and replaced the fuel pump (also a PITA) had to just about take off the whole tank. Cars running better than it did when she got it.
Thanks for all you guy's help.
Great forum BTW.

if the car doesnt miss or shake when in park even when givin gas then you have a drivetrain problem. check your drive shaft and u-joints. if the u-joints have alot of play, they're bad. if the drive shaft and joints are good, suspect a possible problem with the ring and pinion in the rear end
