Funny thing just happened today!

I pulled up next to this civic dx today and I am in my 96 integra gs-r. Well I said to this chick in my passenger seat "should I race him". She just laughed. So then the light turns green and I take off and am a good car length or two ahead of him then somehow he caught up to me and passed me then backed off. I dunno what he had in his car but had to have something done to it. I couldn't believe he passed me. However mind you I haven't been in that many drag races at the stoplight but man I thought I should have smoked him. Then he pulls up next to me and I say "What do you got in that thing". He replies "it's a built DX". Whatever that means. I dunno if I should have beat him or if he really did have a faster car his being lighter and all. Anyway I will learn from this and make sure I drive my best the next time. Just thought I would post this story for everyone to read.

he would have to have had a pretty built dx to beat you, it might have been a b16 or 18. Or maybe it was just a d15 turbo. How bad did he beat you

Well I was leading him for like a good 30seconds to a minute then he shot ahead of me some how after that. All I heard was the sound of air going into the intake. Reminded me of nitrous but it couldn't have been that. Then he passed me and then slowed way down. I wasn't pushing it all the way to the redline so that could have been my problem also. Shifting to fast. I dunno.
