Transmission...and fluid check?
This may seem like a dumb question but...how do I check my transmission fluid? What are the steps, procedures, how do I know if it has to be changed, what do I need to change it etc.?
Any help is appreciated. ![]() Jason |

Re: Transmission...and fluid check?
Its down on the side of the tranny, facing the passenger tire. There is a little window there.

But what do I look for? I really don't have a clue when it comes to this? How do I change it if need be and how do I know it needs to be? What do I put in it?

Re: Transmission...and fluid check?
Change your manual trans oil(10w-30) every 30,000 miles or 2 years. I change mine every 15K.
Always remove the fill(top) plug first. Fill capacity - 1.9qts/1.8l or until it stops spilling from fill plug.
