Roof Cover ?? How do I get one?
Hi,
noobie here again. My wife wants one of those covers that go over the roof after you put it down (boot cover). Does anyone know where I can buy one? Also, what is the correct name for this? Is it a boot cover? Do I have to get it at the dealer or can I get after market? 1997 Cabrio. Thanks Last edited by bearing01; 05-18-2004 at 10:15 AM. |

Are you talking about a tonneau cover? I don't know if they make one for the Cabrio.

I believe it is actually called a boot cover... a vinyl cover that goes over the collapsed roof. Higher end vehicles have a tonneau cover (of a sort) made of fiberglass that covers the roof when down.
I saw one on ebay but it didn't fit the 97 Cabrio. Thanks |

They do make those. I think they usually call it a top boot. Do a google search on "VW top boot", I know Robbins makes them.

Re: Roof Cover ?? How do I get one?
I have a grey or silver boot cover from my sapphire blue metallic 88 Cabriolet. It is very nice. It's the original leather cover. They are called boot covers for our car. This is a very rare color as most you see are black or dirty white.
Here's my online listing. I have a nice rear big red bumper, and matching red tailgate, nice grey/silver convertible boot cover,Aluminum GAS cap, full side trim (all 6 pieces), Audi TT shift knob, wet okole seat covers, new clear front bumper lights, custom black leather shift boot etc available if any Cab owners want 'em. I gave my silver 88 Silver Cabriolet to charity. |
