Questions about 2002 Malibu

1. What is the largest size wheel I can fit? Hopefully 20"
2. Can I hook an aftermarket amp/subs to the factory deck?
3. Is there anywhere I can order carbon fiber(or just CF look) trim to match the trim on dash?
4. What size are the stock speakers?
5. What is the horsepower rating of the 3.1L V6?
Thanks in advance for any answers

Ryan

Horsepower rating for the '97 V-6 was 155, went down to 150 for the '98 and '99. Then went up to 170 for the '00 and stayed at that point thru the '03 model year.

You have my sympathies if you've bought a used one.

As soon as GMPP expires around Labor Day (though I might keep her until Thansgiving/XMAS time), I'll be heading off to the "Honda store", and then my "cherry" '98 loaded LS, sunroof, CD/cassette. leather, etc. with 21K orig miles, almost 22K (short commute to work) will be up for grabs. Pity the poor soul that buys it. As if past history repeats itself, it'll have no problems for years once my sweaty grip is not on it any more.

Why do I have your sympathies? I got a 3 yr 36k warranty with mine, and its factory recertified. Not every Malibu sucks. I like mine, a bright white 2002.

Re: Questions about 2002 Malibu

The stock HP is 170.
The stock speakers are 4" in the door and 5x7 in the rear deck I think.

You can hook up an aftermarket sub to the existing setup, you just have to patch through the rear speakers. The deck puts out 8 amps.

Check andysautosport.com for CF components.

20x7.5 would be the largest with about a 1.5 inch lip, some malibus have 20s on cardomain.com, check them out
