Has anyone tried removing a driver side door trim panel from a C5? I have this rattle that I'm pretty confident is coming from inside my driver side door, because when I apply pressure to the panel with my hand or elbow it goes away. I know there is usually one screw that fastens the panel down and a number of plastic locators along the edges. Usually when you think something is just that easy, it isn't. So if anybody can give me an idea of what tools might be needed and any steps that might make the process easier, I would appreciate it.

Re: C5 Door trim removal
You need to remove the plastic trim around the door handle. It clips on. Then behind the door pull is a plastic cover...pop that off and there are two torx screws there. Remove those. Now is the fun part. GM finally used some really good clips to hold the C5 door panel on. So it takes a bit of pull to get them off. You can use a door panel clip remover or also known as panel popper. But you have to make sure it is centered on the clip. With or without the tool the door panel is not going to want to come off. When it does let go it makes a horrible pop sound like it is broken. Those clipse go around the permiter of the panel. Once the panel is off you need to disconnect the window switch and you can carry the panel off.
