Re: RSX-S motor into a Civic

oh wow, that's some major muscle there. Oh, btw, how much would labor cost, on average, for such a swap?

or for all that cash, should I just sell my civic and buy an RSX-S instead?

Re: RSX-S motor into a Civic

cause you need the engine, new motor mounts from hassport, and labor costs oh my. so unless you have money to blow its gunna cost an arm and a leg. if you go to www.7thgencivic.com there are a few guys who have done it.

Re: RSX-S motor into a Civic

Or don't bother wasting all that money for a slow car.. $8,000?? give me a fuckin break. That could buy a used Z28 or something and spank any (non-turbo) rsx-s.

Re: RSX-S motor into a Civic

Putting the engine in is easy, wiring it is the hard part. RSX headers won't fit either, you have to either make your own (like we did) or wait a few months for a few companies to come out with headers.

Re: RSX-S motor into a Civic

yea i kno not bad out of a sohc
considering in ur other post (i think) we run high 16's stock
shaving off 3 sec with a turbo is considerable nice
i am currently saving for it, might as well cause i'll have this 04 for at least 4 years

Re: RSX-S motor into a Civic

I doubt, you'll drop a 5k motor in your car. Let's be more serious here. If your really serious about this just get a Civic SI, or a RSX type S, and slap a turbo on it.
