i have a 91 caravan with 140,000mi. on it
and the abs pump runs alot even when not using the brakes. i took it to the dealer today and they said the cause of this was the hcu(hydraulic control unit). so i was wondering where this part is located and how hard it is to change. because the dealer wants $400+ for the part, and $159 for labor. Re: abs problem (hcu)
Never listen to Diamler-Chrysler on the first call. call and threaten to arbitrate, have your dealer call to covince D-C to warranty the HCU.
It might take awhile, especially with an older van, but it's best to try.
