Shock Bushings?

1989 XJ6. My front bushings are all torn up and I hear thumps when going over bumps. The new ones will be here today. From what I understand there are two on each side on the top of the shock.

Has anyone installed them before and if so how does the bushing / spacer order go?

The are as simple as any vehicle, simple jack up front, remove wheels, remove upper nut holding shock, pull shock down, replace bushings and reinstall nut.
