Post Weird Sound from rear of car

A couple of weeks ago, I hit a huge pothole on the highway, and the next day I started hearing this weird sound from the back of my car. Its gotta be coming from the back wheels or tires. The sound only comes up when I'm droing about 45 to 60 Miles per hour. and it sounds like wind or a whistling kind of sound. This week I have gotten my rear brake pads and rotors replaced. and my mechanic checked my bearings and there good. He told me the sound could possibly be my tires. They are 4 different brands and grades. Could this be the problem?

Re: Weird Sound from rear of car

Yes that could definitely be a problem, but it may not be why your car is making noise.

I would have them tires inspected. There may be some internal damage on one of them causing the noise. I wouldn't mess around with that.

Re: Weird Sound from rear of car

Sorry I haven't replied with my tire size stuff. But I eliminated that possibility of the tires being the problem. I just bought 4 new tires. Bridgestone Potenza's. and I still have the same problem. Same annoying ass sound. Any other suggestions. ?
