Irwindale ShowOff

Went to Irwindale speedway yesterday. It was like a lil showoff thing people came to take some test runs, showoff their cars. There were a lot of 240's, couple fd, and handful of ae86. It was a great event. It was like one of those events where u can come and practice spinnin ur car out and learn not to get throttle happy. Wat took me by surprise at this event was the Motorex 350Z, a right hand drive r32, an s2000, and a mustang that stole the event. Each of these cars seemed to be the professionals among the crowd. It was such a wonderful event. My friend nate was suppose to run but his car was in the shop havin LSD put on his rps 13. So yea , i think the next event at irwindale is on June 4th. Hope to see some of u guys out there

It's Forsberg. Wan drives a red FD that was on the cover of Grassroots Motorsports Magazine.

I still want an explanation as to why that 350 is packing an SR20DET. I mean, it's cool and different and a proven motor, but I just can't fathom doing an engine swap where you lose 1500cc.

See for yourself.

That's Chris Forsberg's Motorex 350Z.

That's Chris Forsberg's Motorex 350Z's Black Top SR20DET.

Weird, huh?

Me-think they are thinking in the same manner as those people that swapped-out the VG30DETT for a SR20DET in those drift-Z32's. I didn't think that the VQ35DE was that heavy however.... as oppossed to a VG I mean. How much HP is that SR20 putting out? The stock VQ has like 287HP I think...

i'd wager that it's an S15 SR20, and there-fore would be putting down 250 stock...but i also bet it's upgraded...i'd say at least 300 if not more.

btw, Layla, Wan USED to drive the red FD, but he wrecked it at the very first D1 USA last August. he lost it on a corner and went backwards into a wall at high speed. i'm pretty sure he drives some sort of silver 350Z now, sponsored by someone...but i'm not too sure.

Chris Foresberg's other car? it's Fumiaki Komatsu's old sparkle-blue 1580, only painted copper (like the twins). the way to tell it apart from the other Signal twins: Foresberg's car has a blue roof and fixed headlights. i saw him in it in action at Drift Day 13 in California, that car is loud as hell...

Yeah... I was right there trackside when he crashed! In some of the photo's and videos, you can see me in the crowd right where he hit.
