Question 99 SC1 Engine swap sohc to twin cam. QUESTIONS?

I am looking into buying a twin cam engine for my 99 sc1. I have a few questions about it. Would also need to get a manual transmission (from a twin cam sc2) installed with a twin cam motor? Do any engine mounts or brackets need to be changed? Are there any other parts that would be recommended in installing a sc2? My current engine is fine with low miles, I am just looking to make my saturn faster. Any other suggestions or comments are welcome.
thanks

Other questions i have would be... does anyone know where i can get installation instructions for a twin cam engine into a 99 saturn sc1. or would an ecotec from a chevy cav. be a better route to go even though the engine mounts in 180 degrees different from a twin cam?

Re: 99 SC1 Engine swap sohc to twin cam. QUESTIONS?

DOHC and SOHC blocks are identical, most people just swap the head and PCM. you can keep your trans, but the gear ratios in a twin cam's trans are better. other parts depend on the appications. i can point you where to look for instructions.
