Unhappy I'm retarded!

I just finished washing the 00 Cavailer and left the door open well backing up and WACK! I smacked a trailer hitch with the inside of my doorjamb. Smashed the lock-latch about 2inches into the door.

I'm gonna try to fix it but if I cant, about how much does a new front door cost?

well i wrecked my brothers 02 cavalier and they said to replace the rim itself was $500 not sure if that included the tire or not but i dont think it did but i would say just go to a junkyard and have it painted to match your car

Actually....I had a 00 Cavy in the past and I turned that in on insurance. I told the insurance company that we had a bad rain storm and it got really windy out...when I opened the door, the wind caught it and flew it open bending the door part you describe. If you turn it in on insurance, I guarantee you'll not have to pay ONE cent. I turned mine on insurance and insurance paid for it ALL. I even took it to a dealer that wasn't the place where I got my Cavy at. (I took it to a another dealer) and they fixed it for about $500.
