Question 3/5 drop

Why is it that I can't find a company that offers a lowering kit to drop my 99' silverado standard cab 3" in front and 5" in back. I have checked with Mcgaughys, Belltech, and DJM. Are there no kits for that ride height for a reason?????

B/c the new trucks are set up a little different in the back and it would sag. The 3/4, which I have, levels everything out. All the kits your mentioned are excellent and right now i would almost recommend Mcgaughys b/c I've heard nothing but good things. They've engineered their spindles to have the stock position for the steering, which eliminates bump steer.

Re: 3/5 drop

Thanks for the advice again. What size tires and rims are you running on your silverado?

No problem They're 20x9 all the way around. With 275/35 BFG's.

Re: 3/5 drop

I just got off the phone with McGaughys. Ordered their 2" drop spindle & 1" springs for the front and a shackle & hanger out back for a drop of 3/4. Should be delivered the beginning of next week sometime. Can't wait......

Not sure. They are tucked under though, I hate it too when tires stick out on stock or lowered trucks. When I ordered them from Discount they just used the factory offset i believe. There is not rubbing whatsoever.
