Questions about Viper alarm installed in car before I bought it

Ok I got a 98 Honda civic ex and it has a Viper alarm on it and it seems to work well although I havent really messed with it but for instance the other night the trash guys came and made a lot of ruckus with their truck and it went off and also my door lock and headlight flash when setting works but I have a fe questions about it

First where can I find what model it is so I can look up info ...would it say on the remote or on the alarm itself and if it is on the alarm where should that be located

Next when my alarm did go off due to loud noise it only went off for like a minute then stopped is there a way to get it to go off for longer for the scare a guy away factor?

Next I have a little button on my console by my cupholder and all it does is make a fruity siren noise so what is the purpose of this or is something wired wrong

Thanks guys
not to up on alarms so Im tryin to learn

Peace

First I will need to know the model# and make. The make should be somewhere on the remote. The model will definitly on the brain which is located under the dash I would assume. Let me know and i will be happy to help

I sell these alarms. NO the model will not be on the remote. It is only on the brain so you'll have to go digging under the dash. Just follow wiring that looks out of place. Yes, you can program it to go off longer but it isn't needed. What do you mean the button makes wierd noises when you press it(next to cup holder)? Once you find what you have, goto www.directed.com and look under guides. I suggest to download both install and owner's manual. That way you'll find out how to program via install man. and learn how to use it via owner's man..

I assume that the button by my cupholder that makes the annoying chirp noise when pushed is the valet button then?

Not exactly. That really kinda blows me. DEI doesn't make any sort of button that makes sounds. Must be some add on from somewhere else>>>???

Man I have no idea becuz I think they had fog lights up front but I have found the old switch for that so I dont know what it does unless it is some form of a panic button like if someones trying to get into your car or mess with you you could hit that button and give off a siren or chirp sound

I dunno though just my guess
