1997 5.7L quit running

My 1997 5.7L Quit running. It was like it ran out of fuel. I checked the fuel pump, and changed the fuel filter. I know the injectors are not suppling fuel because if I add fuel to throttle body it will start and run for a second. I know nothing about the SCPI fuel injection system. What should I check next?

Check your fuel pressure. You may think that you are getting fuel, but there may not be enough pressure to get them to open the poppets on the injectors. (if i'm thinking right) Definatley check fuel pressure, fuses and relays.

Have a friend or family member crank the truck while you take a rubber mallet or hammer and beat on the gas tank. If it starts, you need a fuel pump located inside the tank. Common problem unfortunatly

Thanks to both of you, I have less than 15 psi. I guess I need a fuel pump.

Be sure to go back with an AC/Delco pump. The aftermarket brands won't hold up. If you can stand the wait, usually a good buy can be found on ebay. Good luck
