Removing a Taurus abs light bulb
Help..
I need help in how to remove the ABS light bulb. The light won't go off and I know the brakes are fine. I need to have the light off so I can pass inspection. TB |

Re: Removing a Taurus abs light bulb
You should have it scanned to get the code out it buutt, if you want to remove the bulb you need to remove the instrument cluster. The bulbs are popped into it on the rear of the cluster.

Re: Removing a Taurus abs light bulb
AutoZone Auto parts stores here in NH will scan and clear codes for free. Or let you use it.
My last car passed inspection with the ABS light on |

If you can get the codes I may be able to let you know what they mean. There is another posting here for abs light on after moving the vehicle, if you want to know how to test the wheel speed sensors.

Re: Removing a Taurus abs light bulb
I've tried black electric tape to cover the light and it worked well. Cheap and easy!
