help with orange peel

well i dident reall want to show this model here untill it was finished, but i got some bad orange peel all over the body and want to know how to take care of it, right now im going to wash and wetsand it real good, i thought polishing whould clear it up and waxing but it did not help, so i got to get all the wax off of it and sand it real good, if this dont work what do i do? i dont want to dip it in the brake fluid cuz it has lot and lots of putty work done to it and i dont want to redo it. here is a pic.

Well the paint doesnt look too thick, why dont you clean it up and give it another wet coat to smooth it out.
