tranny problems

Hey guys I have a problem with this car. I've read alot of threads that these cars have trouble with crank walk, leaking roof for convert., among other things but my car does not show any symptoms of that okay let me get to the point its and auto and everytime it changes gears it feels like the tranny is forcing and it feel like it jumps also when im in the freeway and its in the 4gear and I step on the gas it feels it lags little "kinda vibrates a little to" is this normal also when I stop in a red line and try to take off it take a while to get to sixty is this normal on the GST or the tranny is going out by the way it has (46000miles) I took it to the dealer still under the extended warranty and they say its normal it took them five days just to say that I think they didnt even check so please help me out with this one thankyou

the reason you are getting the lag is cause you are in overdrive... take it out of overdrive and you wont get lag anymore, and for the length of time it takes to get to 60mph... yea thats normal... auto trannys suck unless you build them up good! your tranny is fine its just the shitty shit that you get when you buy an auto!

Re: tranny problems

I'll change my trans. fluid but eclipseRST your saying its normal for the tranny to jump like that and if I take the overdrive off wont that waste more fuel will there be more power to it if I run it with the overdrive off.

yea its normal... my bro's eclipse does the same thing, get a tranny flush and filter change and you'll be good to go for another 60000 miles before you should have to mess with it again!

as for the OD... yes it will use more gas but you wanted to get rid of the lag am i correct? heres what you do... when you want to accelerate quickly then just pop the button off and accelerate, then when you get to the speed you wanted or if you needed to pass someone and you go back to cruising again then just pop the switch back on...
