wiring a 200sx tach into a 96 sentra

okay anyway in my 96 sentra gxe there is not tach. so anyway i go to the junkyard and get one out of a 200sx figuring, cam chasis, and almost same car. The wiring should be the same. Well anyway i go to plug it in it plugs in fine. Im totally excited. Turn on the car, nothing works at all. And i look at the colors from the plugs i took off the 200sx. the colors are totally different.

Okay please dont insult me here. Well in older civics, the wiring on the plugs changed by year, but all you had to do is to repin and rearrange the wirings according to the new cluster.

Is that true for this. Can i just rearrange all of the pins or will that not work...
