Window Motor Replacement ?

hey guys, replacing the power motor on the drivers side for a 91 z28. a small black plastic 'clip' fell down when i was taking the regulator out and im not sure where it goes. has brass threads and its in sort of a wavy s shape. if anyone knows where this goes i would GREATLY appreciate the help.

thats the clip that the window glass sets into, and the clip bolts to the regulator arm. at least from what you describe, thats what it sounds like to me.
