injector noise

i'm getting a loud ticking sound coming from my far right injector area (looking at the front of the car) any idea's as to why it's making this noise and how i can stop it from doing so?

update:
uh oh... i was fiddling around with it today and it came kind of loose.. i can turn the injector back and forth in it's housing... is that a bad thing? any way of tightening it again?

Ya thats the injectors, they make a clicking sound. All cars have injectors that make a ticking noise, its just w/ some they are louder than others

Also, u might have bad o rings but that would make a gas leak

yeah, i've noticed a bit poorer fuel economy as of late... maybe that's my driving.hehehe. so i'm guessing replacing them would stop the noise eh? i wonder how much i can find em for.. maybe i'll kick it out to a junk yard to see if i can find some old ones

New o rings are very cheap, u wouldn't need to go to a junk yard to get em. You want nice, quality o rings. You can get them at any auto parts store. If u done anything like take the injectors out, that would cause the o rings to break because they are fragile

I thought the loud ticking sound was caused by the spark from the plugs.

tried that option.. replaced the plugs with platinum nkg (ngk?) plugs.. the sound is coming directly from the injectors..

gw.. i meant the actual injectors.. i'd get the o-rings from like napa or something..

my ticking sound goes away after the car's warmed up, so mine's probably just the valves. do you hear the sound warm or cold?

i hear the sound at any time.. sometimes it doesn't do it... sometimes it does... no idea why or why not, it comes and goes... it's mostly there now, i'm lucky if i dont hear it... it's really really loud... like drowning out the sound of the engine.. i'm startin to worry
