New 1/4 Time, not Street racing but who cares

Ok so I finally got to run with the nitrous setup, ill make it short

1st run the bottle heater wasent working one of the wires came loose and it was running low bottle pressure
60' 2.3
1/4 14.7 @ 95mph

Then a buddy of mine let me use his hoosier dot slicks on hx rims, well i have an integra front disc conversion on my car and...well the caliper would rub the inner part of the wheels and it wouldent go anywhere so spent another 45 min putting my other 2 tires on *really gay jack!*

so the 2nd run was alittle better I got the bottle heater working but it would only work for short period's of time and then it would overheat so im sure the bottle wasent up to ideal pressure but better than before.

60': 2.2
330: 6.083
1/8: 9.27
mph: 77.50
1000: 12.023
1/4: 14.37
mph: 95.19

that was the last run I got can't wait to go back with better tires and a correctly working bottle heater!

Cool. At what point down the track do you fire the nitrous?

Sounds like you got quite a set-up there...nice ride man! Make sure and let us know when you get the bottle working correctly.

Good runs man. You need to get some DR's on there. Your mph sounds about right for that time though. I think your car should be trapping around 100 mph. Actually now that I think of it, how big a shot are you using?

Re: New 1/4 Time, not Street racing but who cares

only a 55 shot, but I dont think it was running its full capabilities, the bottle pressure was low, the bottle warmer was having problems all night and I couldent hook any 2.1 60's. Im really gonna need some new tires soon, looking at some BFG DR's.

btw I spray in 1st after the launch

Oh, it'll get quicker, ill bring it down with driving and maybe some tires ill hit 13's with the same setup.

well the just repaved the track so grip is better than it was so...why not spray in 1st? it'll make the car go faster.....

I meant as opposed to second. If my question is confusing I apologize. It is because I have no experience with nitrous.

So if you don't mind too much could you explain why you only spray in first as opposed to second or third?

My experiences, spraying after 1st gear has been more ideal, but who really cares, great job, I love seeing fast Hondas (other than S2000 and NSX)

Re: New 1/4 Time, not Street racing but who cares

that was only the 2nd run with nitrous at the track so I have some testing to do. but I just thought it would be easier and save a few hundreths of a second if I armed the nitrous in 1st instead of having to shift into 2nd reach up arm it and wait for the juice to go.

Im not sure if you think I only spray in 1st? If that's the case I spray in every gear. When the nitrous is armed and the throttle is 100% it sprays
