93 Transmission/engine problem.

I have a 93 Explorer 2WD 180,000 miles. About a month ago the thing died while driving. It starts up fine, idles good, but when you put it in either Rev or Drive it dies immediately. I thought it might be the torque converter so I put in a new one and had the transmission rebuilt. When I got it put back together it is still doing the exact same thing. If you jack up the rear wheels and don't put your foot on the brake it will run fine, shifts fine and sounds good. Any ideas? I hate to take it to the dealership and pay a fortune. Thanks for the help

Re: 93 Transmission/engine problem.

Clean the throttle body valve with carburator cleaner. That's a start.........
