94 dodge caravan vents not working

Please help...my 94 dodge caravan vents are not working properly...We thought it might be the control switches...but we replaced that...The air seems to only come out of the defrost..when we switch to floor or vent nothing happens....anyone with any comments....please reply....

There may be
1. A vaccuum leak that feeds the switch
2. Something that has fallen down the defrost vent and is hanging it open
3. A vent door busted loose from its control rod
4. One of the vaccuum controls is jammed or leaking . . .

Re: 94 dodge caravan vents not working

There is a valve under the hood with vacuum hoses on it that goes bad, or the hose comes off the engine. In either case it goes to defrost only.

Yes, we bypassed that valve and we got it to come out on the floor but we still cant get anything out of the middle vents..

Re: 94 dodge caravan vents not working

The control might be bad too! Ours was. Fortunately it was replaced under warranty. Hate to think how much it might cost!

The headlight switch is $80+ NEW. I need to replace it. The reading lights do not work. The reading light defeat switch, in the headlight switch is defective. This was verified by removing and disassembling the headlight switch! UGH!!
