Bronco Questions
How can you tell what size engine a 1988 ford bronco has. I have looked under the hood and there is no sticker that says.

Re: Re: Bronco Questions
Yes it is a v-8 but how can you tell if it is a 302 or a 351. Also do you know what the spark plug gap is? I also have a problem with the blinkers. If you think you could help.

Re: Bronco Questions
I don't know too much about Fords, I'm more of a GM guy. Maybe check into the Bronco forum... it's listed under the Ford forum.
More than likely though, your engine is a 302 or smaller

Re: Bronco Questions
The 351 has a taller deck height, that is the intake manifold is approx. 1 1/2 inches wider than a 302. As I have sold all my 302 stuff, find a friend/ neighbour who has a 302 (Mustang??) and measure the width of the intake manifold and compare it to yours.

Also the blinkers do not work. They do not blink on the dash or the taillights or anything. What could be the problem.

Check the flasher unit. (round cylunder about 1 x1 inch, usually found on the fuse panel). Swap in another one that you know works and see if that makes a difference. If not, is it getting power? Check the bulbs, and the ground wires for the bulbs. If a lightbulb is burned out or a wire is bad, sometimes that makes all the lights on that side not work. However, if nothing works, it may mean you have bulbs burned out on both sides. Otherwise, you have a wiring problem. |
